About Our Range

For years Sproutwell Greenhouses has been expanding and developing new product ranges to compliment not only traditional Glasshouses but to provide a cost effective option for outdoor entertaining also. Obtaining building permits, coming up with a design and engaging a builder to complete your project can become quite expensive.

Over the years Sproutwell have often been asked to custom make/design structures to go over pools and spas or source products to be able to complete an outdoor entertaining space for our customers. Due the increase in interest and the fact that Glasshouses are now being used for more than just growing we decided in 2017 to launch a new arm of Sproutwell known as ‘Cedar Hot Tubs Australia’. Bringing these two awesome products together has enabled us to offer the market a great option for the outdoor living space.

Stand out from the crowd

Open green spaces for your home are important, more so today than ever. With lives getting increasingly stressful, surrounded by traffic, buildings and a sea of people, outdoor living spaces offer the essential calm and balance to our existence. A lovely wooden outdoor hot tub or sauna can be your own personal retreat from the chaotic life outside your home.

So, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and refurbish that dull, empty open space. Stylish new outdoor living is yours for the taking!

Fun for the whole family

A cedar hot tub is a terrific option to spice up the outdoor entertaining area. Whether or not one can have a swimming pool largely depends on the size of the available space and that of the pocket. A hot tub, however, is a more cost-effective and doable option.

The family can come together for quality time and use all year round as summer the temperature can easily be dropped by adding on a heat pump. While a hot tub in the garden is customary, setting it up inside a glass house will let you take a dip whenever you want, regardless of the weather outside.

Sit back and relax

Did you know the outdoor living area of our home is often the most neglected? or worse, put together as an afterthought with a few garden chairs, a table and perhaps, some potted plants. Unimaginative, lack lustre outdoor spaces tend to be uninspiring and hence unused.

It is critical, therefore, to give as much thought and attention to their enhancement, as one might give to the rest of the home. It will not only make the area more appealing but also increase the property value. A comfortable, relaxing, inviting space will make your family and friends ‘want’ to spend time outside.

Pair it with a Sproutwell™ Glasshouse

Frequently Asked Questions

What size Hot Tub would be best for my space?

First decision to make is how many people you'd like to comfortably seat (each model is different from 2-8 adults). You will also require space around the Tub to place control cabinet (and access stairs) and to enter and exit the area. Layout and specifications of each size can be found under installation tab.

How long does it take to install and how hard are they to assemble?

Installation is reasonably straight forward if you are quite handy, alternatively we can install in and around Melbourne, Geelong and surrounds. We provide a good amount of information and detailed instruction and video as well as over the phone support. Also worth contacting your local pool shop or an experienced handyman who should be able to install for you if you reside outside of Victoria.

Do I need any special permits to install a Cedar Hot Tub or Sauna?

You may require a permit for fencing to comply with your local council and state government legislation. You're welcome to speak to one of our friendly staff who can assist you with any specific questions you may have.

What do I install my Hot Tub on?

We recommend installing on a 150mm concrete slab (you can refer to drawings provided under installation tab). If you're still unsure and prefer assistance please call our office and speak to one of our Hot Tub specialists.

Approximate Running Costs?

*700 Watt Blower = 27c per hour *0.5 H/P Pump = Approximately 14c per hour *3 k/w Heater = $1.02 per hour **Based on 17c k/w hour cost for electricity (talk to your electricity provider)

What Oil do I use on my Hot Tub?

We recommend Cutek Oil

Additional Heater?

The optional 3.0kw Heat Pump has a max output of 3.0kw whilst the heat pump can reach 5.5 and 8.8kw respectively. You can expect overall faster heat up times. The primary benefit of installing a heat pump is the power consumption saving. On average a heat pump will use 75% less energy to heat the hot tub.

Do I require an Electrician?

You will require an electrician to run a 25amp feed from your board with a 15amp outlet.

Delivery Options

The Hot Tub comes flat packed in a crate which can be delivered to your door or freighted to your nearest depot (they will fork it onto a 8"ft x 5"ft trailer). Freight cost will vary depending on location so shipping will be calculated after purchase or you can request prior to confirming an order. The components can be hand unloaded and taken through a standard door.

Where to site your tub and the need to provide access?

Selecting a position for your hot tub can require careful consideration whether that be in a deck, on a slab or even inside. THE MOST CRITICAL POINT TO REMEMBER IS IF THE TUB IS BUILT IN A DECKED AREA OR A RETAINED HOLE, THE CABINET AND UNDERNEATH THE TUB NEEDS TO BE ACCESSIBLE 600MM AROUND THE PERIMETER. During the life or even after the initial installation some maintenance / checking may need to be carried out, therefore if access is not provided the tub may need to be moved or lifted out of position for any maintenance and warranty works (at clients expense). We recommend if you are installing in any of these situations that the tub is built and water tested for a period before lowering into the decked area. If unsure please contact us.
